Click on the "play" button to listen to this being played with just the melody notes in the left hand and the chord being played in the left: Now listen to what this sounds like as we harmonize that "C" melody note with chord tones and play root note "C" in the bass area of the piano with our left hand: You probably don't need to listen more than once to notice that the second example above has more "richness" to it. |
