Alright...
we have taken a look at the three positions for the Cmaj triad two
pages ago. At this time I would
like to present you with a couple of helpful
items..1) Below I have illustrated the three positions for the Fmaj and Gmaj triads as well. 2) I have provided an audio animation that you may find helpful when it comes to arriving at these positions for any triad. Although our focus is on using the Cmaj, Fmaj, and Gmaj - the I, IV, and V chords in the key of C Major - for our examples, you will eventually want to be able to play these positions for many triads, since you will be playing in more than the key of C Major. Perhaps you are already at this point in your playing.... I don't think I have to mention it (but will anyhow)... these chord positions can be played in any area of the keyboard! Fmaj

I think, by now, you can tell me what melody note would best be accommodated by each position, yes? Of course you can... yes, the note at the top of each position is the answer! Okay, now let's review this concept of arriving at these different positions, shall we? ![]() Join me in my "studio" : ) |
