Actually, there are only two basic sets of fingerings that we use to play the three inversions. Yes, two of these inversions are played in exactly the same fashion:

Root Position and 2nd Inversion chords are best played using the THUMB, MIDDLE FINGER, and PINKIE FINGER (otherwise known as the 1, 3, and 5 fingers)

1st Inversion chords are best played using the THUMB, INDEX FINGER, and PINKIE FINGER (the 1, 2 and 5 fingers)

As you can see, the only difference between these two sets of fingerings is that the index finger and middle finger "switch" depending on the position. Quite easy!
